Candidates must meet the following criteria to be considered for the cadet program:
All candidates are responsible for their own travel.
The candidate is responsible for bearing the cost of personal medical insurance during his/her training.
FTO will make arrangements for your stay during the Training phase. The cost is included in the total fee. Full board accommodation will be arranged by FTO for your flight license conversion phase in India. Cost may or may not be included in the total fee. Bed and breakfast stay will be arranged by FTO during the advanced type rating phase. Cost is included in the total fee.
Fto’s will facilitate the visa process for your training in the us, but you will be responsible for the cost to obtain your own visa & other necessary travel related documents in relation to the training.
Fto’s student services representative will meet you at the designated housing location when you arrive.
The type rating training will be conducted at type rating training center approved by airlines.
Fees varies from 11000 to 25000 INR for technical test, followed by an interview.
At the time of signing the cadet pilot agreement, the candidate is required to sign a specialized training agreement whereby the candidate commits to serve the particular airlines for a specified term, post successful completion of his/her training (both cpl & type rating).
The total cost for this program is 80 lakh to 1.15 cr, depending on the fto for which you have applied/selected.
A.) Trainee pilot gets a dual license: as part of the cadet pilot program with, you will graduate with a dual federal aviation administration (faa) and indian directorate general of civil aviation (dgca) multi engine commercial pilot license and instrument rating (me cpl/ir)
B.) International training exposure: cadets will begin their training experience in the us, south africa, australia, new zealand. Post successful completion of this training you will be eligible for a particular country’s cpl which would later be converted into a dgca cpl. The program is designed to provide cadets with international exposure both professionally and culturally so as to expand your horizons and imbibe the best of diverse viewpoints and practices. This will stand you in good stead in your subsequent professional development. Exposure to flying and communicating at high density international traffic airports.

D.) Train in the world of cadet pilots: various fto’s trains pilots for various airlines such as british airways, jetstar, qatar airways, virgin atlantic, jet airways, easyjet, flydubai, royal brunei etc. Cadets trained at these fto’s get the opportunity to mix and mingle with their contemporaries training for various airlines from all over the world as well as qualified airline pilots who take up advanced training with these fto’s.
E.) Round the year flying: all fto’s situated at beautiful locations, particularly for aviators, it also benefits from over 300 flyable days per year, making the training schedule quicker and more predictable.
F.) Hassle free selection process: fto’s deeply focuses on selecting the right kind of candidates for training expeditiously, in a hassle free manner.
All examiners for FAA ratings are independent so that we can ensure monitoring of our training standards.
This is a personal choice and can be easily arranged. If you are completing a course, time for sightseeing may be a little limited. If you are here on holiday it is a good idea to hire one for sightseeing.
All students are required to be dressed in a proper fashion. No shorts are allowed while on airport property and during flights.

No, it is not mandatory before the job as it depends, if airlines have jobs for type-rated cpl holders it is recommended or wait for fresh cpl holder openings.
If a fresh cpl holder is selected in an airline then the airline will charge the student for type rating and get it done under their airline training organization.
Yes, you can if u get physics and maths from an open school of learning ( i.e nios ) or any other equivalent board by dgca. Nios also offers exams on-demand where students can only appear for particular subjects like physics and maths on any date they wish for.
Graduation is not mandatory to be a pilot. But having graduation is an additional degree and that should not be compromised from the primary goal of becoming a pilot so if any student is interested to become a pilot, he should start with the process of becoming a pilot and simultaneously enrol himself in graduation degree from an open university ( i.e sol school of open learning )
To be eligible to become a pilot you need to pass 12th class with English, Maths and Physics. If you want to be a pilot you need to follow these 3 steps.
1.Get your Class 2 and Class 1 Medical done
2.Pass DGCA Exams
3.Get 200 hours of Flying training done
Generally airlines prefer pilots between 17 to 35 years of age, however if you have prior experience and you are below the age of 60 years, you may still join.
